Default LSA belt??

Should I throw a LSA belt on my boosted LS instead of the factory one? Not for looks but for durability. I’ve seen a couple builds with the green LSA belt. Any thoughts?

Are you getting any belt slip with your current setup?

IIRC, the LSA has a dedicated belt for the blower, it's been so long since I've worked on one, I can't be 100%.

What type of blower do you have?

I don’t run a blower, I run a turbocharger. I’ve just seen people running the LSA belt on their builds and they don’t have a blower. Figured it was to have a stronger belt.

The LSA belt is often praised for its durability and grip, particularly in high-boost applications. If you're looking for enhanced reliability, especially under higher stress or more demanding conditions, upgrading to an LSA belt could be a good move. It’s designed to handle more power and reduce slippage compared to factory belts. Just ensure that the belt size and tension are properly matched to your setup to avoid any potential issues.

Then that is the move I will make, I run about 10-15 pounds of boost on my LS. it makes around 780 HP. i run the factory rib count belt system. where can i get my hands on a LSA belt? I have a factory pulley system, just no A/C motor. With the idler pulley to the left of the alternator being relocated to under the alternator. Would i need another idler?

The LSA has 3 belts. A blower drive belt, an accessory drive belt, and an AC belt. The accessory drive belt is just like any other 6 rib serpentine belt. This is funny…

I run the Gates RPM belts in the big builds I do. They are crazy money, but if your looking for a tough belt, it’s your choice. Get the length off of your current belt and cross reference for the Gates if your interested. I will be a 6pkaxxxx number, or similiar.
