Baffle in Valve Cover ...remove?
If you have a PCV in the cover, you can expect more oil than normal sucked up into your PCV system. When I put
CompCam roller rockers in my 2002 5.3, I had to modify the baffles on the driver's side. I did get more oil useage.
But that kept the intake valves well lubed!
My fix was to use a Corvete style valley cover and put a second passenger side cover on the driver's side. Using a "T" to connect both covers for the fresh air (clean) intake side of the PCV - valley cover.
So I did not remove the baffles, but made more clearance for the taller rockers.
Hope that helps.
and removing them does gain clearance for some rocker arms
