Default Yella Terra roller rockers

Any concerns with Yella Terra roller rockers that I should be concerned with? Are the adjustable versions worth the extra cash? I've never used adjustable rockers so correct me if I'm wrong on this... I would set the adjustment in the center when choosing pushrod lengths then I could fine tune the preload exactly where I want with the adjustment on the rocker? The benefit is I could run all the same length pushrod and not have to be as precise when choosing pushrod length because I can adjust at the rocker to get the preload right in the center of the range.

I would be looking to have 8000 rpm capability just for a split second at a time as I drag race and would not be spending a lot of time up there.

Don't remember what engine you have, but if it's an LS7, beware. I know this is Gen III, but some guys with GEN III cars run an LS7. On my OEM LS7 heads, all 8 intake pushrods rubbed slightly on the clearance holes after I changed from stock rockers to the non-adjustable YTs. They never rubbed with OEM rockers and OEM 3/8" PRs. This was with 3/8" stock diameter aftermarket PRs. No issues on the exhaust PRs....

With a hydraulic lifter, I’d absolutely go with the non-adjustable rocker. The fact that the non-adjustable wont move, and it’s set it and forget it…is a great piece of mind. In fact, I’m going to do non-adjustables on my next solid roller build as well. The MS pushrod tool is a game changer for setting up dead-on ***** accurate pushrod lengths…it’s that accurate and simple.
The Gen4 YT is a high quality rocker. I’ve personally only seen one failure, and that was in a road race session at COTA in Texas…which is hard on all parts and tests everything to the 11th degree. Drag racing is the opposite as engines only see redline for 11-12 seconds max, depending on how quick you actually are.

I will be running cathedral port heads which I have not purchased yet so I'm not sure what exact ones I'll be running yet. Probably be johnson link bar lifters so if adjustable rockers aren't recommended, but I want roller tips on a budget it looks like either the TSP's or Yella Terra. If I go with heads with powdered metal guides I can stick with my current max effort ws6store rockers. If I stick with my current rockers and go with the trickflows done up by BTR with powdered metal guides it would probably save me money over cheaper heads with bronze guides and needing to buy new rockers.

Current block is LS3 but I'm planning a new build although I will stick with a cathedral port top end.

I run YT adjustables on my cathedral headed LS1. I’m running a solid roller cam. I’ve checked valve lash many times and they stay true. Be prepared to buy tall valve covers because those things are huge and don’t come close to fitting under a stock valve cover.

I also had to pull a head off because I dropped a washer down the intake runner. The intake valve was open so it landed on the piston. So I pulled the head. In the process all the pushrods looked great. I even pulled the rockers on the other side and the pushrods looked great. I run Manton pushrods.

Based upon Che70velle's advice I will be sticking with a hydraulic roller and non-adjustable rockers.
