Feedback request - LQ4 swap on 66 Lincoln
For your purposes, you'd be better off just using ANY stock cathedral head intake manifold than the sheet metal intake.
They suck out all life below 4k RPM.
And you ARE looking for low end power here...

im specifically asking about the rest of the build I’ve got sorted.
I don't know how to tag a specific user, but the both of you had offered feedback for my build up to this point, and wanted to see if you can offer any final advice on the list I posted a few comments above (comment #20)
I think the list looks good, and will work well if you find a long runner intake that fits.
I run the Summit LS2 chain in my race car that sees 7400rpm and it has held up great. Its an absolute value at $30ish.
With those spring pressures and cams you wont need a trunnion upgrade. Again, my stock rockers see 7000+ rpm with PAC1218x springs. Have been for 4 years now. What kills rockers is excessive spring pressures. If you insist on one though, the Summit brand or BTR V2 would be a good choice if you want it to come with your other items.
Also, Summit has their own valve springs for a few bucks less if you want to put that towards a good used intake. Same for a cam. The Pro LS series cams are really good and about $100 less than BTR.

I would look at a flow matched set of injectors from Trick Flow as well. Flow matching just helps with tuning later, and they are still a pretty good value.

Yes, and characterization data is available from TrickFlow for tuning. They might be a bit shorter, but use the same USCAR plug style. Most aftermarket rails account for different injector heights, and the one you linked has multiple mounting holes.

Just a heads up. There are quite a few TBSS intake manifolds near me for sale. I didn't catch your location though.

TBSS will not fit his build. Bite the bullet and buy an LS1 or LS6 intake. The sheetmetal ones are downright useless in a heavy car and you WILL be disappointed. No sense in buying an intake, TB, fuel rails, and everything else only to get rid of it later for the intake you should have bought in the first place.
you're positive that the TBSS intake wont fit? its shorter than the truck intake by a hair, and it's the best performing factory cathedral port intake manifold. Also very common in yards so can be had easily and probably even more cheaply than the sheet metal intake.
you could buy one on amazon, test fit it, and then return it if it doesnt fit. food for thought!!

Well, he already said in about his 2nd post, that other people who have done the same swap, say they've tried the TBSS piece and it won't fit.
Personally I think this whole post has become nothing more than abuncha beating the dead horse. (not that I'm any kind of "authority" or any such, just, MO) D00d is apparently gonna do whatever he gets in his head that he wants to do no matter what we tell him. Some people just have to learn things the hard way. Which TBH buying a TBSS intake could well be an example of, if it's already known definitively that it doesn't fit. One of those sheet-metal deals falls into the same category for a different reason. Maybe that's gonna be his hard-learned lesson.
