Are you looking for mechanical dimensions for a cad program or something similiar?

Just the mechanical numbers of the main cap or block.

To be clear, your looking for dimensions, or simply cap orientation?

Dimensions basically what is the distance from the centerline of the crank to the first location on the block or main cap.

Good question. I’m sure the info is out there, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it posted…I’ve never looked honestly.

Wait….I just saw your question on another thread. You’re trying to determine if an LS bearing shell will fit another block….what do you care about fastener location? Explain to me exactly what you’re trying to do or determine here. If you’re trying to keep bearing crush, from a used bearing shell, you’re not going to be able to correctly. At least that’s what I gather from the other thread you’re asking questions in….help me understand what your doing please.

I am attempting to use the LS bearing in a billet aluminium chevy r07 block. The two attachments next to the centerline of the crankshaft is very critical to bearing crush and bearing slippage. I could pay to have a block digitized but thought it would be easier to ask or find a print online.

Why don’t you simply buy R07 bearings? Easy peasy. The R07 main is just over 2”. It’s not even close.

Do you know. Which version of the r07 you have? Mains will either be 2.017 or 2.130…as far as I know.

Would you run a 2.o main crankshaft with a 3.75 or 4.0 stroke crankshaft?

No. but with the R07 architecture, you’re not gonna find a crank with that kinda stroke unless you have it custom built. The R07 heads are tailored around a short stroke and big rpm, which won’t be optimal for a big stroke deal. The SB2 works ok in that setup, but it’s different architecture altogether.
Sounds like you’re attempting to take an R07 and try to make an LS out of it? Decent deals on used R07’s are out there….and it seems as though you found one? You can get into a 440” LS with a nice LS7 top end that will run circles around the R07 in a big cube design….for much less coin.
I honestly have no idea why you’re trying to do. I’m almost afraid to ask. Tell us your build plans here? Are you gonna try and line bore the R07 out to 2.559”? The R07 block is worth a mint. Sell it all off and your way ahead.

Like my previous message said, we are machinging a r07 block out of a solid piece of aluminium. Yes, a custom bryant or winberg crank is north of $3500. I like the ls bearing due to it would make the crank somewhat lighter than a 2.75 main crank and way more choices of the bearing to choice from. The sb2.2 or ry45 dominate the offroad truck and dirt late models. Let's respectfully disagree on who makes more power.

I know a guy in Utah that has an R07 block, new in the crate. $10k. Prolly be a cheaper place to start, and the CG material is ultra light. Personally I think you’re better off going LS. A million options out there. The LS7 head architecture is very hard to beat. Hendrick modeled the R07 architecture off of the LS7 actually.
