PRW Pro & Elite Series Roller rockers There’s been a lot of buzz and questions about PRW Pro & Elite Series rockers on social media, so I thought i'd share my experience
First question:
Do they work with the BTR LS shaft rocker kit?
Yes, they do work with the Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) shaft rocker kits.
That said, there are a couple things you need to know before installing them:
• Reuse the PRW trunnion bearing.
The PRW trunnion has the oiling hole for the direct oiling system. If you don’t reuse it, you lose that feature.
• Check your geometry.
Geometry may need adjustment depending on your setup. For example, on a Frankenstein Engine Dynamics M115 cylinder head, I found the BTR stand needed about .050” milled to get the sweep pattern where I wanted it.
Every combo is different — always verify your sweep.
Next big question:
Does the direct oiling actually work? Is oil really flowing to the roller tip and spring, or is it a hoax?
Yes, it works.
During cranking, you can clearly see oil flowing through the trunnion and out the front oiling holes to the roller tip area.
Having direct oiling should help extend:
• Valve spring life
• Retainer life
• Valve tip life
Especially when combined with a roller tip design.

Im currently rebuilding the top end of my ls1, re using my 243s and these rockers came out right as i started ordering parts. I considered them, i hoped they would just bolt on and go. Running Morel 7717 lifters, BTR cam and springs. stock rockers have been used for over a decade and have had no issues. these PRW rockers are rather affordable and seem to be one of the best designs.
