the other day i was at the street races....and this guy had a TA..it was fuken sick.bad-*** cam...lopey as ****...so over-cammed it was dimming the headlights.i didnt get a chance to talk to him,considering he came in, then left.the sound was awesome, and wen he left seemed like he had quite a bit of heat.now i dnt necessarily need the head lights to dim,but i want an awesome,muscle cam.i like loud.i like being loud,i like pissing all the people off in my complex,i like pulling up next to an '03 charged cobra,and he barely wants to race.i just want a lil info on some very aggressive cams that make great power.TIA.

since you obviously arent taking this cam thing seriously, just throw in the GM Grand Am cup since it fits all your "needs"

you in cali? dont you need to meet smog requirements? if you do then yoiur cam choice is limited...really limited.

do you have any set goals? like hp #'s or a specific et? that will help you more than just asking "what cam sounds the sickest?". let us know your goals and we can help you a little better

i think what these guys are shitting on you about is A. you speak/write in tongues i think even most (what do you call them?) home shizzles? wouldn't understand, and B. its obvious you aren't ready for the power a cam is going to give your vehicle. for the saftey of the rest of us, just drop your stock idle and let that lope.

dude california sucks for smog,thats why i call them smog ****'s.anyways,i was just wonderin if the g5x3 is a very lopey cam,allright....forget all the other stuff i said.i was caught up in the moment....im pushing for 550-600hp n/a.....id rather have better tq #'s under-the curve...but i do want top-end hp.tq is more important to me.btw;i was a lil f'ed up last night...im sorry.im prolly gonna get afr 205 heads.just put on cut-outs today, they sound fukin sick.thanks for all the help guys,sorry about the stupid cam comments.i just went back and read it today, and i sounded like a jack-***.my bad.

you are talking crank HP right? what you need to do is get the AFR's, flow them, and spec a cam that works with the rest of your mods and will get you within your goal. you'll make more power "everywhere" then just throwing **** together.

if your wanting TQ under the curve the x3 and Trex are not what you want. i'd consider an FM13 on a 112+4 over the x3/trex.

thanks.who makes the fm cams, ive heard of them on the forums,but never knew who made 'em.also what if i just want to get a cam,because i cant afford heads for a little while.but want the added benefits ,and higher rpm range than stock.so i can spin above 5500 or 6000.

yes.give em a call and mentioned the spec.they know what it is.sounds like you can get around all the emission crap on your state.cause you aint passin that or smog with this cam.good luck. oh you can spin this cam to 7k. provided you replace the rod bolts .

Seeing that you're in Cali, you can kiss your 5-600 hp goodbye. Unless of course you intend on trailering the car to the track, and don't need to be legal. Even in states that are less aggressive on emissions, there's not a sniffer in existence that will get along wth the X3 or the Trex, and you need quite a bit of knowledge about how your motor functions in order to take advantage of a cam like that. You can't just plop in a big cam, and make big numbers, and you can't just make big numbers and go fast. It's a system, and must be treated as such. Whats the old saying..." A chain is only as strong as its weakest link".

In your case, I would consider a mild cam and a blower. That'll get your numbers up there, and do it cleaner. Maybe even a little n2o. Why do you want people to fear the car because of the way it sounds? That sounds like a honda owner who wants people to think his car is fast because he's got the biggest wing ever duct taped to his trunk. Wouldn't you rather people see how fast the car is by losing to you? I can tell you, you could pop the X3 in there, and have a lopy car, but there will be plenty of "weaker" sounding cars that will take your lunch money without breaking a sweat.

Bottom line is you don't have a plan for the car. You need a plan, or you'll do everythign twice, and see minimal results.
