Well..not to dig up an OLD thread but the aforementioned car is still running the same as far as I know. He put a lid on the car since then and thats about it. He daily drives it in the nice weather and the car is NOT beat at all
Still curious if anyone has any ideas because I cant get his *** back to the track!

I'm not sure if he's looked into it, but the knock sensors may have to be replaced. My 98 was pulling about 4* on me. For about a hundred bucks I upgraded to the 99+ sensors and harness. Zero knock, great upgrade for the 98 cars that got unlucky and got shitty knock sensors. Now 4* isn't going to make it feel like a different car, but it's a start.

upgraded to 2002 ZO6 knock sensors. I fought up to 4 degrees of KR and tried everything, adjusting fuel trims, and running 100 octane to see if it was false or not. Adding these new knock sensors was one of the best things I ever did. Nick Williams did it for me when he tuned my long tubes...
