LS6 valve springs

LS6 valve springs I know this has been beaten to death, but will LS6 springs be OK with stock LS1 valves with a 2002 LS6 cam? I have heard conflicting statements about the LS1 valves being to heavy and such.

Re: LS6 valve springs I am not saying anything – I am interested in your question. Obviously LS1 valves will be fine with the 02 springs and cam below some rev limit. Just as obviously, the lighter valves will safely rev higher. You need to know where valve float starts to be a problem if you don’t have the lighter valves.

Re: LS6 valve springs I'm often wrong, but I doubt that GM would have gone to the trouble and expense of developing the lighter valves if the LS1 valves would safely run to 6600 rpm.

Re: LS6 valve springs GM did it because they want the majority of the stock Z06s survive well past 100k miles without valvetrain problems.
I would guess most of the cars would have survived 10k miles with a little heavier valves.
