Default Which Stroker to go with?

Okay fellas here it goes. I`m wanting to get over 500rwhp with A4, 12-bolt and stall. Which do you like 408,421,434,455! I`m going to drive the car daily and have A/C and all. I plan on a 200 wet shot to go with it! Being able to drive it is important! What do you think? I`ve been told a 408 is really the best bang for the buck and power. I want this to be my last modification for along time. I will race at the track 8-10 times a year! I`m putting it in my 01 WS6 thats in my Sig. Tell me you thoughts! I`m really excited about this please help!

I just dropped a 408 into my car and I'm pretty happy with it.

For the cost and reliability you can't really beat a 408. I would use Eagle rotating and diamond pistons and put the savings into the best set of heads you can find.

I would also consider a converter swap. Vig's tend to eat a lot on the dyno and not mph as well as some of the other alternatives. Where you drive on the street a lot I'd look at something in the 3800 stall range.

I was thinking of getting my restall for my vig to 3800! But should I change completely! Chris , I was going to get the S2 heads I have now just cleaned up and bigger valves for the stroker, and go ahead and put Luntai crank and rods so she would handle the spray really we`ll. Alittle more money but would last longer. Wouldn`t you think?

I know you can get Eagle crank and rods, but would they handle the spray and all? thanks!

With spray, an iron 408 is the way to go.

Rag, can I get 500rwhp with A4 with 408 and be streetable N/A. Should I stay with Eagle Crank, Rods also, big savings. I`m taking by what you say (iron 408) is strong enough to take a 200 shot! I`m really wanting to get-with spray(200 wet) 700rwhp! Is this possible?

Why are you asking the same questions again. All said yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
408 is the way to go. Get really good heads (AFR if you can wait) or Stage 3's and a good cam and you are there.
I hope you can do tuning to shoot 200 wet. An amount like that is not shot on a one off tune and has to be monitored constantly, so autotap/laptop/edit or tuner, have to be in your budget.

Iron 408's have been the popular thing lately, and they are putting up sweet #'s. But there is no replacement for displacement. Sounds like a 455 to me

If you do this, you will be the first. I have never heard of or come across a 500 rwhp N/A A4.....I do believe its possible but more likly in an M6. You will need the biggest badest H/C combo out their to get over the 500 mark. Good luck though.

P.S. I am currently running a 408 in my A4 car.....
5.3L Stage II heads , TR227, Midwest 3400 stall, full bolt on's, built trans, ORYP, cut out..... right now my rwtq is around 440 but the horsepower is barley getting to 400, I'm still working the bugs out but......take it from me go with 6.0L heads.

I know David Coates from MTI had the same set-up I have now on his old SS with 6sp. He pulled like 440rwhp and like 410rwtq. About 26rwhp more than me and almost same with TRQ. I reall like the sound of a iron block and no core!! I could sell my stock bottom-end to help make up some cost. Man I can`t wait!

I`m really thinking of a 455 iron block and a Big shot of spray
