Default A few valv spring questions

I think I'm going to go ahead and replace my valve springs on my car due to what I saw on my last dyno.

I do plan on doing a cam in the future but I don't know when. I don't want to take a chance on dropping a valve.

Now for the questions:

Will LS6 valve springs a good choice for a stock cam motor? Will they directly swap with the stock springs? What year Z06?

Where do I buy the valve spring compressor for the LS1?

Is there anything else I should do while I'm doing the valve springs? Valve cover gaskets?

Is there a way to keep the valves from dropping without using compressed air?

Is it a good idea to check the push rods while I have the valve covers off?

Anything I should know before I do this?

Thanks in advance.

Use stock replacements or Comp replacements.
LS6 valves are longer which leads me to believe there is a variation in the LS6 springs too.

LS6 springs will work. The 02+ LS6 valves arent much longer. When installed in LS1 heads, the installed height will be a little less, but coil bind wont be an issue. You can just use an normal OHV spring compressor. You can use the TDC method of changing springs, but I still like the compressor method the best.
