Ok cars been down for awhile and i was putting it all back together today and when i went to connect the neg battery cable the starter engages without a key in the car much less in the ignition... Any ideas on what could be wrong ???

The little purple wire on the starter solenoid is also touching the fat red wire. So its getting the signal to start whenever there is power. Its scary when your car is still on stands, and you connect the battery, and the car tries to start itself.

 

ok thanks... and yeah scared the living **** out of me.. i just wanted to connect to battery to finally role my windows up... woops..
