Also, keep in mind that this cylinder head will be available as a bare casting to offer the cutom porters another choice to build their cylinder heads without the worry of a inferior casting giving way. We hope to make this the casting of choice for companies out there specializing in custom LS_ heads.

The goal is to offer a chamber to maintain stock compressioin on the street. Look for a 65-66 cc chamber to be available.

Keep em' comin boys, by this time next year when I am ready to do H/C on my car, the quality and options are gonna be astounding, and with the competition that's growing, the cost's are only gonna start getting lower. One thing you should consider with a new head would be to offer a valve cover that will clear even the meanest of shaft mount solid roller style lifters, that would also make for a good selling point. Thank you for the praise, we are very proud to be bringing an LS head to market. All of this feedback is great, as I have been pounding the valve cover idea since I came on board at Edelbrock. The goal is to get this to market and gain moment with future projects; once we start a good thing it usually snowballs and grows with time. Although the carbureted manifold is a step back in technology it will further strenghten the LS1's presence at all levels of the performance aftermarket and you should see more and more engine swaps into the traditional muscle cars and street rods because of it. The one aspect of the LS1 that can not be overlooked is the fact that it is nothing more than a modern day small block Chevrolet, the same engine family that has shaped the face of our industry since 1955. Thanks again for the compliments.

No kidding. The valve cover market is one of the strongest accessory sales for aftermarket performance products, yet there the LS selection is few and far between with ridiculous pricing. Hopefully we can get something in the works. Would you guys like to see a set-up with relocated coils?

Make the tall ls1 valvecovers with and without the coil mounts, they could be cast with a natural or polished finish.price should be between 125.00 to 150.00 max, there is no reason they should cost any more then the centerbolt sb Chevy covers as they are smaller and similar in design also keep the o-ring gasket. You could sell a lot of these!!!!! P.S. really glad to see your post, keep it up. This site is the most advanced and up to date ls1 format there is period,if you want to know ls1 you"re in the right place, the magizines are not even close!!! Again WELCOME!!!

Lol, funny to say but if there's anything good about being to broke to afford mods right now, its that the longer I wait, the more and better heads that keep hitting the market. I have to say its great to see a big name in this business like Edelbrock getting into the LSx market can only mean great things - more options, more competition, more advancements, and lower prices. I wish you guys the best of luck!
