I think a better way to ask this would be to ask.....does anyone have problems with their brakes because of lack of vaccuum from the cam? If so what kind of specs?

I didn't have any problems whatsoever with my 235/239 .600/.590 112 cam. Granted thats not huge, but didn't have any problems.

Also didn't have any problems with my TSP 231/237, Speetek F1

408, 5.3 heads/TR227 = shitty brakes......the brakes were bad with that H/C combo without the 408, after the 408 its like putting your foot on a brick if your going over 80 or after you punch it. I have heard of some people using a Vacuum canister that holds vacuum for your brakes ???? not sure how it works but if it does, I need it.

T-rex cam (243/249 .608"/.613" 110 LSA), no noticable difference in the brakes for me. I've only driven the car for a couple days since the cam swap, in moderate traffic, no high speed stops... I had 2 days to drive it before it went to the bodyshop for a WS6 hood, should get it back soon.

a vaccuum canister is one of those things you would be better off buying. Check summit and Jegs. The ones they carry are pretty decent and somewhat compact. You may have to move a few things around a bit to get it to fit under the hood well, but they do work well

I've noticed a difference...brakes are a stiffer when just idling...

Not bad, but noticeable

Yeah, power steering works fine and the a/c, well, ummm...I tq'd down the compressor bolt a little too far

Think I might yank out the a/c stuff now, I didn't use it much since retiring the car from daily duty anyway.

I honestly didn't notice a difference in the brakes. I drove the car in moderate traffic for about 1 hr and then around town a couple times after that. Brakes worked just fine. I was driving with a friend in the car and he made it a point to ask me about them, I didn't even think about it until he asked.
