G5X-3 on a 112 in an A4....I try not to drive it everyday...but my beater needs new breaks, so I have been driving it everyday for the last month...It could be my daily driver easily, but I just don't want to put the miles on it.

i'm gettin a forged 383 so while its out i'm gettin a new cam sadly my heads are gonna be stock for a while so that's the real limiting factor. i guess about 230ish, but then more or less than .600? and no idea what lsa, maybe 110? what do you guys think. this car WILL be my daily driver as well as raced, so the most streetable hp is what i'm interested in.

How come? I thought 918's are good springs.

TR224 112LSA here. It's hands down the best civilized daily driver cam with a great overall powerband. Drives damn close to stock after tuning but hauls alot more *** than stock with heads. Pulls pretty hard with the stock 3.42's also. Any bigger cam and more gearing would be needed IMO.

Yeah, they are but, I prefer duals for peace of mind and increased prevention of PV contact in case of failure. In general if a dual breaks it prevents dropping the valves with the second spring.
With a single, that is a different story.
Is your cam XE-R? that would be my second reason, Very fast ramprates, as a matter of fact Comp rates them as race lobes.
It's just a chance I wouldn't take with a bigger cam like yours. But I'm the play it safe when it comes to motors. They usually last longer that way.

Soon I'll have a TSP 231/237 installed....and I'll second Predator's comment on the dual springs...PP's Gold Duals are where its at. So far, there hasn't been a failure(the one time that I've heard them fail, I've been informed that they were installed incorrectly on top of factory seats). Thats pretty damn good. I'm not risking my daily driver on single springs. For the extra $$$ it takes, you'll find Gold Duals in my valvetrain. **** PV contact.
