G5X-2 Results for an A4
Spanky - everything is in my 2nd post. It's 2.02 and 1.60 valves. The heads were only milled maybe .0030 for a cleanup. The pistons were also notched slightly.
I presume the pistons were notched while the engine was in the car?
I'm interested in this cam, but my heads are milled .030. I'm a bit concerned about notching the pistons due to reliability concerns.
Also - the double springs, mandatory?

Jim - yeah, they were notched while in the car. Call Lou (1-877-LGMOTOR) and ask him about head milling and PV clearence. And the double springs are basically mandatory cuz I think they rate 918's only to .590 lift (i may be wrong) and the G5X-2 is .595/.609. They are what comes with the cam package or the H/C package anyway. "Better safe than sorry"
I think I'm gonna stick with my F1 cam, IMO it's crazy to have a 1100rpm idle just to have that kind of power, it would cost more money to buy but save lots of money in gas to just go buy a powerdyne with a mild cam and make similar power.
and NO I don't like powerdyne

We idle these packages between 950 and 1050rpms. The only time the idle goes up is for AC and cold starts. That is very normal.
We have most of the cars set at 950, just to get the idle quality smooth.

1100rpm AC on Idle, makes more sense now.
With my F1 I have a 900rpm idle cause I wanted idle as smooth as possible and a 1000rpm idle with AC on.
