some balancer questions

got some curiosity questions? why is it that GM did not put keyways on either the LTs hubs or the LSs balancers? does it not matter how it goes on? i know with the LT1 it does. So what about the LS? i always make two punch marks and then realign them out of good practice and habit. just didnt know fi anyone else ever did. thanks

Old school balancers were keyed to reference the timing mark on them to an exact location.

Makes no difference cause it's not a balancer on the LS1, it's been demoted to being just a lowely pulley.
