Default MTI power?

Just wanting some opinions, info, experience from people.

I was debating on taking my vette down to MTI and getting stage 2 heads, stealth cam, ls6 intake, and a few other mods here and there. I'm going to keep the stock exhaust and go with the stealth cam to keep a sleeper sound to it. any opinions?

MTI will definitely make you the power. They do great work, and they definitely have a lot of combo's runnin around with the numbers to back them up. Another option to consider is AMS Racing, in Arlington. They are a sponser here too, give Keith a call. He's a little closer to you, and does great work as well.

I ordered the Stealth II cam with AFR's.
Jayson and David at MTI have a customer service that is second to none.Very professional and always available, especially when you need them most (when things go wrong). They are one of the best when it comes to making power, dyno tuning etc...
Colonel on this forum has his daily driver with stage 2 heads and stealth II cam and is making 420rwhp with that "baby cam" and 11.2 in the quarter mile.
Actually it is his combo that encouraged me to go that way.
I give my vote to MTI as a good choice for product and professionalism.

If you're keeping the stock exhaust don't plan on making anything near 420rwhp.

Yeah, but the potential will be there and he will be in the 380's, with a bump in CR (11:1). Vette exhaust breath fairly decent. He will be 400 with headers for sure.

BlkLightning - Have you taken your truck to Ennis or Hallsville yet? Sound like you've got it setup pretty well. If you know in advance when you are going to the track, post up here in our truck section. Plenty of us GM truck guys enjoy running against the L.

Default Ennis

I am actually going to ennis for fun ford weekend sept. 13-15. I'll post up times and a new dyno sheet when I get it. I'll post in the truck section as well. I'll run anyone, no two races are ever the same. after ffw i'll be running hoosier drags and skinnys in the front , hopefully that will give me some traction.

If I'm around 380-400 hp in my vette then I'll be fine, who knows after i do the heads and cam, and small others, i might slap some headers on it. if i do and electric cut out will definately go on too.

MTI will do you right, they have done all of my engine work. Not that much really: Kook's headers with x-pipe and high flow cats, underdrive pulley, stage 2E heads and C2 cam = 417rwhp. I'm very happy with the tune and drivability.

Another very satisfied MTI customer.

I run the Stage 2E heads and X1 cam. Along with mail order tuning from Jayson.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't an '03 vette already have the LS6 intake?

Yup, a friend of mine was looking for a used SLP cat back for his formula and I told him to call MTI and speak with david and nobody else but david cause he always takes care of me when I call or show up.

As for the car, the numbers wont be that great with the stock exhaust. IMO I would say get headers with cats, and the Z06 cat back. That way you will stay quiet and your exhuast will flow really well also. Good luck with your set up.

I have had my MTI stage II & B1 cam set up for 4yrs now and it has been one mean little cam combo but has had no issues driving across country and got 27mpg on top of it . My car is at MTI now getting a larger cam installed so I can try and get in the 10's this fall. Get the headers because it really compliments the package .
