talked to a couple of the leading ls1 places about my cyl heads

question:

can i take my 98 notched heads and get the notch welded in so that i can use the cheap gm mls gaskets vs. the cometic c5475

also which one of these part numbers is the actual one for the gm mls gasket 5.7 heads 12575392 or 12569365 or 12573949

Yes, you can. I had this done on the heads currently on my motor. The heads will need to be milled afterwards.
