stock ls1 heads vs stock ls6 heads flow numbers
Does anyone have the flow numbers of the stock ls1 heads vs stock ls6 heads,or know where i can find them.Any help would be great.Oh by the way just got the new summit magazine and they have a ls1 to ls6 conversion kit for about 2100 bucks includes heads with springs, cam, intake, and all gaskets, bolts etc.doesnt seem to bad for someone looking for great gains with stock sounding idle, driveability.

You can search and find the flow numbers but I will give you my opinion on your quandry. You would be better off to have your heads ported and have the head porter set up your heads. Then take the extra cash and buy you a real perfromance cam. If you are worried about an aftermarket cam being to radical then not to worry. There are a few cams out there with names like "Sleeper Cam" and "Old Man Cam" than have a smooth idle and still put down some good numbers. You also could buy a used set of 5.3 heads and bump the compression and have them ported and set up so you would have no down time. You can get more HP per dollar compared to the deal you are speaking of. And if you PM I can point you to someone on the heads.

I know that money can make more power elsewhere with bigger cam etc but this car will stay with the stock exhaust manifolds and will run and look like it never even got touched which is what i am looking for i dont care to have over 400 horsepower, just want a good kick in the seat at 4500 rpm,and have a good edge over the stockers.thanks for the advice though .I might get crazzy with it in the future but its a 2000 ws6 with only 11k miles dont want to get crazzy for a while.
