Talking what modifications to do.

I am a proud new owner of a 2000 ws6 m6 and was wondering of what mods. to do. I would like to accomplish 400-425hp at the wheels and still be steetable. The ideas I had was to install a 4.10 rear gear, pace setter headers, y-pipe and reprogram the pcm on the dyno. what do you think?

forget the 4.10's, save for a 12-bolt. 4.10's in a stock ten bolt are weaker then stock gears. go with the pacesetters, get a lid, an ls6 intake, and a nice flowing catback.then slap on a nitrous kit....and you'll be around ~425rwhp+. still very streetable

Another option is to get all the boltons and do a h/c package. Then you'll have that power all the time. You can still be very streetable with a medium sized cam like the TR224. People have hit 400 cam only so with heads it should put you right in the middle of your target zone.

I do have an aftermarket lid and a exaust cut out. That is it. I do like nox but not a big fan of it on the street. what is the best cat back system to have without making it way too loud. About the cam, I thought about it before and not opposed to it. What size cam and what brand is the best for my application for mild street.

I like the 225/225 cam from tsp, it make good power, very streetable, alot of people like the 224/224 cam also. Both cam's are nice choices for daily drivers or for someone who just wants a tame cam that makes nice power, with some heads you can make the power you want to, with full intake and exhuast bolt on's of course. Thats just my suggestions for you, nitrous can work nice also, but i dont see it as being more streetable than a heads and cam setup or a supercharger for that matter, which is another option, you can make the power you want right away with a supercharger. Like i said, my suggestions for you would be the H/C route

SLP dual/dual would have my vote. One of the best flowing catback available. It's quiet at idle or while just cruising, but sound's awesome at WOT. And no rasp or drone whatsoever with LT headers and aftermarket cats.

I would (but of course I would. I love mine and am just slightly biased ) suggest MTI's C1 camshaft. That coupled with their 2E (or just about any stage II heads) and some bolt-ons should get you to your power goals and it's a bit more mild on your valvetrain, too.

As for exhaust, definately go longtube headers and I'd suggest high-flow cats because they help tame your exhaust some. Just my opinions/suggestions, though. Good Luck!

heads cam and bolt ons youll be good, tuning has come a long way so most are very streetable now. as for the cat back defiently the duAL/dual even with an ory still very quiet idle cruise sounds good wot too, and add a cutout if you want

Ok, you guys have definetly talked me into long tube headers, cam and ,cat back. Im going to the dyno soon for a base line and starting point.I got a friend with a 2000 formula that wants to go into halfs for HP TUNERS software. Have you guys tried this program and if so, do you recommend it. If not ,what do you recommend. Also, on the heads I was informed that the stage 2 heads maybe gave you 20hp. If this is true, I do not want to spend money on heads. I just want the biggest bang for my buck.
