Question i Need stroker for my LS1

Hello guys ...

What's the best 383 kit for my LS1. lunati, Eagle, ....?? i know mostly the lunati is the best. i need it for highest CR with flat pistone and without power adder and NOS. can someone tell me which is the best hyd cam for
383's or 408's??

I prefer to going with 408's but i don't have any idea what cam and heads i should buy for my setup. The car for street race at weekend only.

I am thinking about the dealer/company, but didn't know who is the best one to deal with him ( TR, HPE, ARE, ...)

What do you think about this 383kit:
ARP main studs, Lunati forged crank, Eagle forged rods, JE Custom pistons, Plasma moly rings, Federal-mogul bearings.

Guys ... don't forget that, here in kuwait we use 100 octane.

Thank you for advance.

i would reccomend going with FMS. thats who my 408 stroker is going through. im expecting to dyno somewhere in the range of 520+ rwhp and rwtq, if not more. ive heard nothing but good things from them, so id rather pay a little more to get things done right the first time.

TSP/HPE/MTI/FMS/TR
All of these are fine. Don't be hung up on price. Get detailed part quotations. Make sure the motors are blueprinted and certified as so in writing.
HPE has a delivery date garantee or it's free.
Just take your time and get an official detailed quotation from every shop you are interested in. right down to the bolts/gaskets, everything.

Fahad, I think that would be a nice setup. A larger cam, 243/250 for instance, and a 90mm intake setup would be very strong. One of the things that attracted me to the LS1 was the aluminum block.

Personally, I would go 383. Lighter and with proper heads and cam, 520+rwhp is achievable, add a little juice and you could see 700rhp. Now that is respectable by any means, and very reliable.

520+ on a 383ci ain't happenin. That is more like a great running 427ci. A stroked 383ci will put down 450-465rwhp. Since I've done a 383 and a 422 I know from experience. People keep quoting higher power outputs on these motors, and I'm not see in it.

OK, I can see YOUR point but, I'm not talking average joe stroker!
520rwhp with true LS6 stage III race, big cam, qtp's W/V collector, 90mm TB/ported FAST intake, EWP,ALL other bolt ons and a really good tuner is very achievable.

Heck we are now seing 480rwhp (346 cid), medium cam setups.
I had a 383 at 490+ rwhp with TPIS TB and ported LS6 intake, so based on my experience and some of the new parts comming out. YES 520rwhp is very attainable.

Going with huge valves on a stock bore won't make a huge difference. You need a bigger bore to unshroud the valves with stage 3 2.08 1.60 ls6 heads. The ones I have worked on are not average joe motors. The only way I see 500+ is with an m6 with a 3.42 10 bolt. If you are making this much power then people are usuaully using a high stall auto and a 9" or 12 bolt rear. Even with a stick if you have a 12 bolt with say 4.10's you are loosing power (10-12rwhp). Now add on a steel driveshaft and lose a little more. With every bolt on minus a fast intake it is still 475-490 rwhp range. I'm just not seeing that happen without very high compression and a solid roller cam. Why spend all that extra money when you could put a blower on top of an average 383 or even some spray and make much more power than an all out 383ci.
