Default Valve springs - which are the Ultimate??

I am looking for some unbreakable springs and I am not concerned with cost. Granted I don't want to spend $1500 on a set but I don't care if they are $295 or $595, I just need to know they are not going to fail. They will probably be used with about a 224, .565 cam turning to 7000rpm with ported heads. Some machining to install them isn't a problem for me. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of good choices out there. To name a few: Comp 918's and 921's are great. Crane duals are what I'm using right now. Patriot Gold's spring seem to be a great spring as well. There have been freak occourences when these springs break due to a defect of some sort which is very rare. I hate to say this but, doing a search may help if you haven't done one already. All of the spings mentioned will be more than enough for the cam you are planning on. Have fun with it. What do you plan on doing with it? Track car or street racing? Or just having some fun every now and then?

For your application, Patriot Gold Duals, or Comp 921's are going to be the one's you'll be lookin at. 918's would do the job, but they aren't unbreakable, and they don't have the second spring that saves the motor in case they do fail. I've not heard of a Patriot spring failing, when installed correctly. 921's are nice springs too. Haven't heard of too many people running them, haven't heard of too many failures either.

Thanks for the reply WS-Sick. I have done many searches (don't want to get beaten up for being lazy ) and I think the Comp 921s are the ones for me. They are pricey but I can't find info about them failing and that is most important to me. I am actually thinking of going a bit bigger than the TR224, maybe to a G5X2 or FM13 which will make good springs even more critical!

The car will be daily driver + road course track car which means long periods of time between 4000-7000rpm!

Thanks

The Patriot Golds or the comp 921 are some of the best springs out there.

Uhh I recently broke an ISKY but I have so much confidence in them that I went back to the same spring. I have a .634 lift cam and the springs had been on my car for about 20,000 tough racing miles before one finally broke.

Also, its pretty much a dual spring. I broke one on the highway doing 70mph and drove another mile and a half and the dampener was strong enough to keep the valve from dropping. Saved my motor.

I was racking my brain trying to figure out what spring to go with when I realized that I should be surprised getting a year and half out of a spring with my .634 lift cam.
