I'm looking to put together a 441ci stroker with a sleeved block and my 4.125 crank @ 11.0:1 cr. Use a set of stage 3 heads with a nice 175 dry shot. 90mm fast setup.

Here's the question do i do this or buy a 4" crank and go with a 434ci. i really want to use my old crank but i dont see alot of them being put together and i was wondering why, and if this will hurt my setup. looking for around 550 rwhp on an m6

 

I say go for it. You won't need to spin the motor to high with all the torque it will make. As long as the pistons and block are clearanced correctly it shouldn't be a problem.

 

Looking at the parts, I vote go for it also. You are definately utilizing a unique combo. There is no one I know of running that combination. If you tell your builder the exact specs they can create a stout package that will absorb a 175 shot without blowing up.

One issue you might have is cost and durability. How long will you be keeping the revs up, and are you drag racing it or just casual cruising? Will you be tearing it down soon or is it a daily driver?

I would work with your builder before hand, so when you get to the last remaining details you'll have all the little things sorted out. As you know it all adds up. If you are going to follow that setup with a 175 shot I sure hope your engine builder knows what he is doing and decides not to utilize cheap parts.

 

Your sights should be a little higher than 550 RWHP with 440 ci and 175 hp worth of spray...

 

I have seen this engine combo but he used a C5R block and heads. Made 720fwhp 640ftPounds of torque N/A . Engine being dismantled and new higher comp pistons being installed.

 

i'm using my lunati crank, ross pistons, lunati pro billet rods, clevite bearings, Jensen performance is doing my machine and assembly work. Andy in my opinion is the best there is. As for cylinder heads i'm looking at a set of custom done MFS or MTI heads and cam combo.

550 rwhp that is the number i want to hit without the spray and a hydraulic cam of course.

this will be a weekend racer and driven on the street probably once or twice a week.

 

Go for it, I have 447 using a 4.155" bore and a 4.125" stroke, depending on the pistons and rods used there isn't too much clearancing to do.

 

Stealth has a 9 Sec 441CI from Cartek in a FRC..

i agree with z98....your goals should be a little higher. there are 408's makin that much. with a 441ci you should be makin a good deal more then that.

 

I agree, with the 4.125 bore and the 4.125 stroke you are looking at a square combo,You need max flowing heads=big valves,big cam and big headers and exhaust system.BTW how much to do the sleeves in the iron block???I ask my engine builder and it sounds expensive!!

 

The sleeves are for the alluminum block. It's 2500 plus finishing machine work.
