"HEADS" UP CARTEK VS AFR

I have an 02 SS. I am going to be doing heads and cam this winter. What in your opinion are the superior LS1 Stage 2 heads quality, durability, longevity etc. I might add nitrous down the road. I want something reliable that could be a daily driver if needed but will also tear up at the track when I go. I ask about these two because there is a pair of Carteks that are for sale and TSP is doing a special on AFR's. Any other heads you like?

I 2nd the TEA suggestion! I think you'd be wise to CALL them, not email them for their cut on your application and its' desired output.

easy solution...

i'm going to be machining my own heads and cam in my shop...get someone good to make if for you. i you don't want to spend a whole lot, get some used ones from someone that ran their motor hard and never had a problem.

Cartek and AFR are both great sources for fully scienced combinations - they don't just sell heads, they will also sell complete combos addressed to particular customer needs. Call each of them, explain what your intended useage is, and go with the vendor you find closest to your needs or most convincing or nearby, etc. Each will have biases, but each has also proved ability to deliver real world results.
