Default argh...nitrous then misfire and rough idle

Finally fixed my nitrous system last week so I decided to test it out last night. All went well, still need to adjust one of the switches. Car was fine last night.

Fire her up this morning to go to class and I get an SES light and a slightly rougher idle, not to mention slightly noisier valvetrain.

Got the code scanned today after class (5 mile drive each way to school) and it's a misfire on cylinder 1.

Tear down starts in a couple hours when the car cools off. Any preliminary guesses? Need to know info: ls6 cam, comp 918s, harded pushrods, HS 1.8 rockers, rev limit 6500, shift at 62-6300, nitrous on 3000 and off 6000.

Teardown has begun. Sparkplugs look good. Well, they don't look good, but they are not the cause.

All sparkplugs checked (3 total) are black around the first thread, with a tiny bit of oil on the others. The electrode and the top bit are grey.

Valve covers coming off in a few.

Me too....

Everything *appears* fine. Pushrods are good, springs look good, valve stems do not look bent. Rockers are fine. I can only tell so much through looking. Took a bunch of the rockers off and everything underneath was good (yeah, I said that already right).

I'm going to go have the code deleted now and see if it comes back. On the way home from class I did not notice a stumbly idle, so hopefully it was just a one case scenario.

Update 4:00: Misfire still there, even worse than before. Me noticing the idle was ok on the way home must have just been me being optimistic. Ugh...this is going to suck.

I don't have the time or facilities (apartment complex). I have 24 hours of work a week (at least) and I'm a full time student. I need a car and now I'm **** out of luck... I guess that's the price I pay for playing this game.

edit: Forgot to add that the SES light now blinks sometimes. I will not be driving the car anymore unless absolutely needed.

Is the misfire still on only #1? If so, swap plugs, wires and even coils to another cylinder that isn't missing. See if the misfire changes cylinders. If not, swap an injector. These are all easy things you can do in your parking lot and they rule out those parts.

This sounds familiar after my 3rd time spraying: misfiring, blinking SES light.
I fixed the problem by paying for a new short block. The piston was cracked a long with the block. After about $4K she runs great. I bought bigger injectors and had my tuner take out timing. You did this before spraying didn't you?

I've done all the safety mods for spraying (injectors, pump, tune), but I won't rule that out as a possibility.

That's a good idea biggnome, completely passed over my head while I was in there today. I'll give that a shot tomorrow and update if anyone cars.

edit: Yes, as far as I know, it's only #1 that is misfiring. It was the only code that was thrown.
