I agree with Gunnar! There are several different retailers of PP heads, so their is no need to beat a dead horse.

J-rod,
We totally agree. If you are not comfortable with heads that you have received, please get them checked out. We fully support the "trust, but verify" philosophy. We now send a flow sheet with every set of heads.

I definately don't think its reasonable to make claims against sponsors of this board when you don't know what your talking about.

Terry started promoting PRC heads as soon as he started Racetech, and in this thread he's the only one selling them.

Besides TSP of course.

I don't understand why Terry would say that Racetech no longer carries PP heads when he never did at Racetech, but he deleted that thread so we'll never know.

This is a Patriot LS6 head thread not a Terry, TSP, or Racetech thread, so no need to bring that up.

yobabiesdaddy2001: As far as heads go you will always get what you pay for. Remember one thing. With N/A cars the heads, cam, and tuning is where all your power is made, going cheap on any aspect of it is going to cost you power in the end.

I could probably sit here & write a book on why we're no longer carrying PP products. Instead I just want to say we decided to go a different route.

We sold PP products even after Terry was fired. We had a combination of things that ulitmately led to us deciding to no longer carry the products.

If you would like PP heads you can buy them from Summit, JC Whitney, SLP, or Force Fed will even build you heads finished with their components finished to your specs!!!
Trust me I know what I am talking about, I was in the performance parts busines for 6 years and used to do the same stuff to get a edge over my competitor, after 6 years I just could not do it any more. So your telling us that Terry had nothing to do with you not selling pp any more? A company with good busnies ethics would not have made a public post on a fourm about not selling a product, but just tell people when they call for the heads they no longer sell the product, But hey 11 years ago I would have done the same thing and I did not have good busnies etchics either.

Winman put down some really good numbers with these heads over the weekend. I won't say anything about them yet, he hit the stock rev limiter and it was still pulling, so he can post his graph here after he gets it tuned.

437rwhp/406rwtq, F11+2, tunning for a hotcam, stock rev limiter. graph still had a steep slope stoping at 6.2k limit. possibly another 10-15 hp will be available. A/F also was a little off around 3.5k to 5.5k, possibly some more torque will be there with some adjustment of the A/F and some timming. I will post a final graph when I get it.

Man, you guys still beating that horse??

Research and read please! These PP head threads have been going around and around.
Bottom line, for a quality set of heads expect to spend in the neighborhood of $1800.
Pure and simple.
The other "cheap" options are what they are. CHEAP. Some work and some don't.
Some poeple here say, get PP and upgrade valves, check flow and valve jobs etc...
All a bunch of bull. At the end, you'll end up paying the price.

I was there when we flowed Winman's heads. The numbers were pretty much right on what they advertised, and the flow numbers kept increasing until we went over .650, and .600 is all they advertise.

The sole of the horse which has been beaten will live on to be beaten again in many more threads young grasshoppa...

They're affordable, and they're making good power with some builds, just comes with the territory...

That looks like a pretty cool program. I'm acutally thinking about taking off the heads and sending them back for updating to Stage III. I purchased mine back in late January. I do not believe that they came with the gold springs yet at that time. If you could shoot me a price on what I would be looking at, with the discount, it would be appreciated. I'm thinking of doing this sometime in December when the car is down. The current setup consist of PP stage II LS6 heads with a G5X-3 112 lsa cam shaft.

man guys....... my flow chart is at work. I wont be going back due to a medical leave. gettin my hernia fixed I could possibly ask Jason99T/A to reprint them for me. Once I get it fully tuned I will get the numbers up. I think the s2 heads got 316cfm on the intake and 285 on the exhaust. Dont hold me to those numbers though. And I do not remember at what lift that was at. Stay tunned for the updates

If you want peace of mind... sell your car and buy a Honda.
Just kidding...
I know of a few people that are making great numbers with these heads and are not having any issues at all. I still wish there was some database somewhere that would compare failure rates against other heads. I want to see the numbers. I think that would stop this bashing cold.
