Need advice on Stage II heads sizes (already searched)
I'm definately going with a Stage II heads and cam on my vette. I ran across a really nice deal on brand new PP LS6 complete heads. I've talked to a few people and they have told me that I don't need much more than the 2.02's for a heads and cam car (what mine is). The heads I found are 2.055/1.57/59cc. The overall goal of my vette is to be on the higher side of street and occassionally strip. Are these heads are overkill, or are they worth it if I get them on a deal? If they are overkill, what are your opinions on STAGE 2 (2.02/1.57/59cc) or STAGE 2 (2.02/1.57/64cc)? I haven't purchase the cam yet, but keep in mind I'm going to go on the high side of moderate also. Thanks, Cole.

First is to decide how much you want to spend.
TEA,AS,MTI,AFR all have quality performing heads and will range from $1700>$2500 for stage 2's
PP LS6 are not true LS6 heads, but (LS6 style).
Also what is your cam?? Some radical cams do not fit without flycutting pistons.

I'm familiar with the prices of the others, that's why I'm looking at some PP from a private seller that have a really nice price tag. I don't have a cam yet. I was just saying I ran across a good deal on these heads and I'm wondering if this is a good place to start for what I'm looking at doing. The cam will be matched later thought to the heads. Could you explain the how the PP are LS6 style but not LS6's?

They are actually LQ4/LQ9 (Truck) heads that are CNC's and machined to have a LS6 "style" combustion chamber.
IMO stay away from PP heads especially used. Unless you are getting them for like 400>500 bucks and plan to have them rebuilt, (new valves, guides, valve job etc...)
A nice set of TEA 1.5's or MTI 2E's would be a sure quality deal with proven performance. Depending on your cam 5.3 castings are the way to go. If money is not an issue, then true LS6 or AFR.
