hey dan, correct me if i'm wrong but is that a shift light in your automatic car?...couldn't really tell, but it looked like one on the pillar

Yes, that is correct. When you spin your motor to 7200+ RPM, I want to know it shifts where I set my shift points at especially when on the juice. I bounced the limiter on the last motor at high RPM and ended up replacing the motor. It's just a warning light and piece of mind for me that it's shifting at the proper RPM, even for an A4. Besides I'm an M6 now anyway ...
