If they are the same and are CNC'd LS6 casting heads, wouldn't you want the cheapest?

Sorry, I am a total newb. I don't even know what these Stage I, II, III designations mean.
no, not all castings arent the same, there can be manufacturing variations, even just slight. also these arent true 243 cast ls6 heads, they are 317 LQ9 6.0 heads w/ welded up chambers. cheap comes at a price, you have to decided if thats a price your willing to pay. also stages dont mean **** as theres no industry standardization. one vendors stg2's could be anothers stg 3's or vice versa. mainly they just note valve and spring options and slight porting variations.

there are a lot more questions out there than just the cost of the upgraded valves....i have installed a set of these heads and they impressed me for the price they were..and the car made more rwhp than 99% of the mti heads and cam cars out on the street....and they claim those are hand ported heads but for a 1000 dollars less i think i would go with the patriot heads.....

Guys, Gunnar PM'd me and this is his response concerning the pricing of the stage 2 LS1 heads. Apparently the price didnt go down any. but they are saying they will do the hand finishing for free??

"No, all 5.3 and 5.7 castings remain the same price. We will do our usual hand detail at no charge."

One question concerning PP valves. If they are so damn good, why the need to upgrade?

the upgrade would be in the SIZE of the valves, not because the valves arent made well.
