Default LSX Intake & Milled Heads?

I'm curious about what needs to be done to an LSX intake if you mill your heads. Since the LSX sits hard on the valley cover with stock heads, does the bottom of it need to be shaved / machined if you mill your heads? Or am I still stuck in the old small block Chevy world & all I'll need to do is port match?

I think you're ok until you mill >.060 or so. Shouldn't be any different than an LS6 manifold, I personally know of heads being milled .050 and an untouched manifold with no problems.

People have milled heads to a certain amount, I think 30thousands, w/o issues. You should be fine unless you're already REALLY hurtin right now. Then I dunno. Who's millin your heads? If its possible, have them take a look at the fitment before the milling to see what they think.

Mine are milled .030" without any issues. I have used both the FAST and LS6 intake on heads milled .060". The LS6 required the brass tabs located at the corners of the intake to be shaved down. After this, the intake fit just fine.
