Default Do my cylinder walls and pistons look ok? 56K Warning

I had to pull the passenger side head to tap and helicoil one of the rocker bolts that I stripped. Decided to snap some pics of the pistons and cylinder walls while everything was a part.

There was a little bit of coolant left in the cylinders.. I couldn't get it all out while I was drying things up.

What do you guys think?

cylinder 2

cylinder 4

cylinder 6

cylinder 8

The Walls look good.

The carbon deposits on the piston are tellin you a story. Notice they are clean around the edges of the piston? That is from oil cleaning them. Its blowby from the rings. I just did H/C on a 107k motor and his looked better than yours.

Not a Big deal. Just dont expect as high of numbers as you would out of a new/broken in shortblock.

Looks okay to me too. You can run a can of seafoam through there to clean everything up if you want.

That's what I plan to do.. Is it a bad idea to try and use some type of solvent to clean them off right now..

Car has 35k... but it wasn't treated too nicely before I bought it..

No need to clean the tops of the pistons man. The will look just like that as soon as you fire it up again.
