Arrow PLEASE HELP! I hear a noise? what is it

ok i went to the track on sat. ran the car 4 times and on the forth time i blew my cerp. belt off i didnt realize it till i was going to pull back in line and i realized my power steering was out. I pulled the car on the trailor and then my radiator over flowed thats when i realized my car over heated the temp gauge on the cluster read 250 so i wet home put a new belt and added fluid. now the motor is making a knocking noise but spraticly not constantly its on the passenger side. It will do it every 20 sec or so then maybe 40 sec's later, its just not consistant. I pulled my plugs last night and they looked fine aclually pretty damn nice. I then pulled the rockers and the push rods (on pass side) and they are fine. I am doing a compression test this evening. What is next in line to check??? what could this be maybe a valve spring?? What do you all think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
O i have a 6.0 iron block with lunati pro billet rods, crank dimond nitrous pistons and ls1 stage 2 heads
Thanks Richard

Could be a spring or it could be a loose TC bolt witch can happen time to time.

If there's oil in the coolant, that's usually a head gasket.

i ran my car at the track and heard a knocking my noise came out to be a slightly loosened rocker arm from turnign hard rpm's...fixed by simply tightening it..unless you bent the pushrod..

it sounds like the noise stopped now BUT i sprayed water on my headder tubes 3 would not even make contact would sizzle off so quick and the other will just burn off so one cylinder is colder than the others much colder i just put brand new plugs today

hmm....usually if you blow a head gasket the car smokes bluish white. i know my 280z looked like a damn smokestack when it went, and it had a minor headgasket failure.
