I have this cam but can't comment on mileage or dyno numbers yet. I don't have it fully tuned yet so I don't know for sure how the mpg will turn out. The power of the cam is great. The guys at TSP were pretty confident that I'd get ~400 rwhp on stock heads while still having good street manners and torque in the midrange.

Well, TSP is right down the street from me. I will stop by there and let you know all about the numbers and all. The 231/237 looks mighty nice, but interested in this cam.

Well, i called TSP today, i dont remember who it was I talked to, but evidently the one dyno chart he had on the torquer was lost when his laptop crashed. The cam is just very new and people only recently started ordering them so results "should" be comming in soon.
i am also debating between the 233/233 and the 231/237...acording to The guy at TSP, the 231/237 cam obviously will better if you decide to spray because of the wxhaust duration. it "should" also give you better results at the track...
personaly, i think because im still running my 3:23's in my stock rearend with the 3500 stall, im going to go with the Torquer because IMHO i think it will do better on the 1/8th and not loose much if any at all on the big end to the 231/237. Around here there are ALOT of 1/8th mile tracks and a few 1/4 so i spenf WAY more time doing the 1/8th mile boogie..
I also belive that since i may or may not spray it, i want to use the age old addage and build it to run n/a then spray it with not quite as good of results later, rather than building it for spray and posibly never spraying it.
just my $0.02

I got 23mpg with my TSP228R. I probably could have gone easier on it and made 24, (but that is easier said than done!) I was getting about 25 or so mpg on average while stock.

The only problem i have with the 231/237 is re gearing it. That is just more money i will have to dish out. And i hear the 233's has better street manners. So, with the comment, what people run stock gears in either cam?

i have an MTI X1 cam, headers, yank 3500 stall and a little bit of spray
Is your car auto or manual??...i just put in the 231/237 in a buddies car over thanksgiving..along with heads and weind manifold and his car has excellent street manners, and fired up on the first shot
his car is m6 with 3.42's, tuesday he is gettin it dynoed at MTI and i'll post up what he pulls

i have the m6. HAve a pro five-0 and z06 clutch. I am ready for the cam. But, i really want to keep the gears just for gasmilage. Every other week i drive 500 miles.

If you plan sticking with stock gears I would def. go for the torquer. The tsp 231/237 really needs gears a lot more b/c of the lack of low end. I have the torquer with the stock gears and it still pulls very hard!

Thanks for the input, i was also wondering on the idle, i really would like a great lope! I have heard of people with stock gears, but its more of a high end cam like you said.
