Cam/springs
Did the cam swap & springs and it went really well. I used two 5/16th rods to hold up the lifters. Cam came out great as did the new one going in. I used the Larry Tool for the springs. I did the TDC method & compressed air, yeah I'm paranoid. I installed 918 springs and a TR 224 cam. Everything is pretty much done & I may start it in the next couple of days. I did headers, true duals & U/D pulley at the same time.
Pointers; Memorize the JMX howto guide. I only had to reference it a couple of times during the install. I took my time, I spaced the springs over a couple of evenings. I used a good strong magnet to remove the retainers. I did the entire install without any helping hands. It was easier though because I removed the A/C & condenser. I put the cam sprocket on dot to dot before removing the cam. Then when the new cam was in I put the cam sprocket on and line up the dots, then put the chain on. I was able to get it right on the first attempt. I thought the Larry Tool was a great investment of course I don't have anything to compare it to. I believe most if not all my lifters were still up 24 hrs later when I installed the pushrods. I could feel the lifters drop when I pushed on the P/R's.

Well took it for a drive. It runs great, idles perfect, no surging, starts great, gas mileage seemed the same. It's really LOUD. I got an SES, no rear O2's, no air pump. Very happy with it. I am consindering not getting it tuned, what do you guys think. What are the chances that the A/F is not that bad? I don't have access to a dyno tune within a 500 mile radius.
