Lingenfelter 415 cid supercharger
420 BHP 450 ft/lbs 6.0 short block lunati bottom end. I've heard that the lunati billet steel rods are not that strong. I want to put a supercharger on the motor but am concerned if the bottom end will hold. Anyone throw one of those rods.
Thanks
Chuck

lol those rods are top notch.. find a new source. If you are building something under 1000hp you shouldnt have a worry in the world. Over 1000 and I believe they are still not even phased..

Hi Chuck
If that's a 415 that we built with the forged internals, the supercharger is not going to make enough power to break it.
Now tuning a supercharger is another story, if it's not properly tuned, it can be very easy to damage a motor.
Let me know if I can be of any help,
Ed

I have had one engine failure with there rods in a 396 Sbc and my blower shop ASSC in Chicago does not like the rods for a high horse engine. I will try it and if it blows I will let you guys know. We will not have a problem tuning the motor. That motor has 75k miles on it and its held up so far. It should make about 550 to 600hp with the blower. Thanks for the feedback guys
