stroker vx superstroker - what's the difference?

stroker vs superstroker - what's the difference? I see people mention stroker and then superstroker when talking about the same cubes. What makes it a superstroker or is it just another glorified term?

i think the term super stroker has something to do with the power it puts down due to all the top end components-Cam, heads, intake....if its designed for RACING and RACING ONLY its a super stroker i would sya
if its streetable...and astounding at the track its in between...
id consider anything in the 300s still jsut a stroker however and a 400+ super stroker (even the MTI said there 455 will be a very streetable motor with 534 rwhp and 542 rwtq lol)

I've always heard it used in reference to MTI's engines, they pretty much use the term exclusively. Check it out: http://www.motorsporttech.com/fbody_engine02.asp
Since they coined it, people have started using that term to refer to pretty much anything close to or above a 427.

generally a stroker is a 383 or a 395 all stroke engine. What is refered on here as a super stroker is when you add bore. so a 402,408,422,427 some people would only consider the 422 and larger as super stroker since the bore is .200 larger than a 346.
