Headers, cam question.............

I am going to get a cam and headers and was looking for opinions on what size cam, what brand headers, etc.

PS I know my slp y-pipe will be history so should i go with ORY or high flow catted Y ? Also, should i buy new rockers and if so what brand?

Your going to want to do a search here and in external,to find what will be best for you. How much $$ do you want to spend. Do you have a smog inspection where you live? Ect Ect.

Stock rockers are fine.
As for a cam, go on to a Sponsor's site, and see the cam selections- there are tons out there. Read the cam install intro from ls1howto.com to have an idea of what the cam specs mean. Talk to a few sponsors. Let them know what you're looking for. Many people use the TR224 from Thunder as a cam for which to guage all other cams from. These days, larger cams are popular, but there are trade-offs for going big.

Most any Long Tube header will work fine. SLP headers hang low, so if clearance is an issue, stay away from them. Pacesetters are a good bargain. KOOKS and QTP's are top of the line.

Kooks headers are the best. i would get the cated Y-pipe. TTP has the best price on them.

I strongly recomend the Hooker longtube headers for the price and performance. If i had to do it over, I would have had a custom X-pipe built w/ true duals. If you work at a shop that does inpections like I do, theres no need to worry about emitions. I gained around 32hp with my full exhaust conversion.
