Stock crank HP limit?
Well i planned on just doing a head/cam swap on my T/A but since it's already got 85,000k miles i figured i'd just go ahead and refresh the whole thing this winter. Planning on going with new rods(not sure which ones yet), and Mahle pistons, all being forged and later running 150hp shot of n20. Which leads me to my question, how much HP can a stock GM crank handle? Say i get the stock crank magnafluxed, cryo treated, and ion nitrated how much would it be able to hold? Or would I be better off by getting something like a cheaper Eagle crank? I've heard good and bad things about the Eagle cranks, is there anything to them not being worth a damn?

I have seen stock cranks break at stock HP (probuble a fault in the metal) and then i have seen a crank handle 750rwhp on the bottle. You will be find on a stock crank even if you spray the motor with a 200-400hp.

I made 600 RWHP on stock crank and rods, went 9.80's. Changed the heads, intake, etc, and then made 700 RWHP, never hurt the engine, it's all in the tune. Cold plugs (TR8), little timing (< 20 deg) and lots of octane (100+). I just saw a post from one of our customers that had the same basic combo I had, I'll include a link. Good luck.
