GTP head owners
I just bought a set of GTP stage II heads and I was wanting to know if there is a way you can tell if there GTP II maybe by a number GTP stamps on the head or any indication.
I was wanting to know the same question. I have the same heads and asked GTP themselves but they basicly said they could have me send one in, and they would be able to know for sure. I just took some pics of mine and all I had was some engraving saying "GTP" and what looks like someones initials? It looks like it was used with a hand held engraver. Where did you buy the heads?
GTP cuts all of the sharp edges on the head (an angle cut), and they engrave a serial number on the back side of both heads (my heads say "Thunder PO xxxxxx").
If your heads have sharp edges on them (like around the outer edge of the valve cover flat edge), they're not GTP. If they don't have any number engraved on them, they're probably not GTP.

I have GTP LG9 heads and my edges are all bevelled. The only markings on my heads are how much has been milled off. Just look for any edges were the valve covers mount and around the edge where the heads bolts to the block.
