What turns an LS1 to a 347? Is it just a simple rebuild, or is it changing to aftermarket pistons & rods?

The LS1 is a 346. There are a number of ways to do it. Bore it out a tiny bit and you will hit it. De-stroke it and bore it. CI is a forumal.

When I spun all of my crank bearings, I replaced the rods & pistons w/ diamond pistons & eagle rods. Would that make it a 347?
