The internal spring is MUCH stiffer, and they return oil more slowly, in turn keeping them more pumped up at higher rpms, as well. This is why they can handle more aggresive camshafts then the 850-16s

They were saying to set them up with .002 - .004 lash. I am not positive on the procedure to do this but it is imperative that you get this right! #1 reason I do not run those lifters. I'd get someone that knows what they are doing to set them up for you. Do not torque them down like stock lifters though.

ok..calm down. Yet again we need to discuss this. DO NOT confuse lash with preload. This is apples and oranges, we are talking about two completely different things. Lash is slack in the system, preload is just that..pre..loading the system. The pro mag lifters require .002"-.004" preload HOT..not cold. I would probably put .008"-.010" preload when cold. Zamboxl..you have a Pm.

I am putting these in in the next few weeks (comp Rs). When the motor is cold I have heard that you should simply tighten them down until the pushrod does not move any more, and then you should only be at 1/8 to 1/4 turn to get to 22ft/lbs. Is this correct?

After you take the slack out of the system(lash) you would give the ratchet about 1/16 of a turn on an adjustable rocker. If you still have a stock rocker, pushrod length and shims are the only ways to achieve the preload required. Comp makes pushrods for the LS-1 in .025" increments.

3- TR p-rods are fine and I believe cheaper.
u can run them with stock rockers. i did and my car ran 11.16 @ 120 mph so there is no harm to using the stock rockers
