Default B1 cam questions

I have a 2000 SS (M6), and have recently acquired the B1 cam from MTI. Will the car run properly on that cam with the stock rockers/springs? Is any tuning required? Also, about how much would an install run me?

Stock springs are definatly out of the question with a B1, it has a lift of .558. I'd pair it up with some comp 918s. Tuning with that cam would not be an absolute must but would be recomended to get your idle speed back up and to realize the full amount of power. I'm guessing instalation will cost about as much as the cam did, but many people do it themselves.

How long would the comp 918s last? 20K miles <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

What springs would be overkill for this type of cam? Springs that would last like 50K to 100K miles? Is that possible <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

well you will need 918s and you should get hardened pushrods also <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

tuning should not be needed it would be best to get all out of the cam but it will run ok you will be very happy with that cam
