stock cam
------------------
duration@ .050 - 198.86 / 209.25
lift - .498 / .497
LSA - 119.45

01 LS6 Cam
----------------------
duration@ .050 - 204 intake / 211 exhaust
lift - .525 / .525
LSA - 116

take a look at the difference of those specs, at how different they are. between the longer duration, higher lift, and lower LSA of the LS6 cam, there's no way you can lose power with this cam if installed correctly and everything functions as it should.

You should see a gain, but the 02 LS6 cam will show most likely show a better gain since it is a little more aggressive, but for the money I would go for it.

Personally, I have the 02 LS6 cam untuned and it is JUST like stock driving around (just a little more noise from the valvetrain with Comp 918's) and it runs very well on the top end now shifting at 6200 (had the limiter moved). I did the cam and ASP pulley at the same time and noticed a huge difference in power above 4000 rpm. I just need to dyno it now.

For free it is way awesome! No down side to the swap. The 02 Z06 cam is stronger on top but the 01 will give you better low end. Enjoy!

Hard question to answer for difference as your current mod level would make changes over stock-to-stock.
From a base HP comparison you are looking at 330 LS1 to 385 Z06, torque 330 LS1 to 385 Z06. The dyno should show an increase across the board with the Z06 and higher gains in the top end.
For a very good, detailed listing of cam swap goto www.LS1howto.com, it is a wonderful site for most LS1 tasks including the cam and spring swap. It will also list all the needed tools and parts.
Have fun, let us know what you decide!
