Default 02 ls6 cam results (long)

I basicly chose this cam b/c I have a factory warranty and want to keep it. After install the car ran perfectly fine, no ses lights, no surging, complete sleeper runs smoother than before. I could feel the power come on at 4000 rpms, and after the car ran like a raped ape.

Dyno 1 results w/mods in sig, factory y-pipe, and 315's: I am over 350 rwhp at 5500rpms and peak power at 5600 rpms (361rwhp) stays flat until limiter. My torque now doesnt drop off near as bad as it did before from 5000 to limiter. I couldnt get any air/fuel readings b/c it kept blowing it out the back.

Tuning: Yes, you will most likely need tuning but not for driveability issues. To raise the limiter to 6500 or 6600, and make sure your LT's are right on. I had a buddy A-tap my car and he says my Lt's are off by 10-15 all across the board. He thinks I will benefit from tuning because I am lean at normal driving but at WOT the computer compensates for the lean condition and I run pig rich. That explains the black smoke!

What I notice now, at idle it smells alot worse. When I rev it, it smells like raw fuel, and at WOT it blows brownish black smoke out the back.

Da tuner:My buddy Wes! He has LS1 edit and atap at home on his laptop! He says his Z06's atap readings looked like mine and when he fixed his Lt's he gained 15rwhp thats without any timing b/c he sprays. He is not promising that but he is promising a perfect running car and more timing. (On the TNT bottle he has something like 524rwhp.) I plan on having JJ install my 160 t-stat and asp pulley next week. Then Wes will tune my car. He plans on fixing my Lt's, told me to drive my car for a week, recheck it with atap, if it is still the same, we will put it on the dyno for some wot tuning. Told me to drive it another week and then atap again. So I am hoping for like 370+/- rwhp? Best thing is, he is going to save my stock program on his laptop and a disk so when I go to the dealer for any reason I can run the stock programing.

What do yall think I might achieve w/pulley, 160 tstat, and tuning?

StrongWS6, Great numbers!! I'm glad to start seeing a few more M6 LS6 cam results. Your car and mine are similiarly modded so I'm hoping for similiar numbers to 361 or maybe a few more since I have an ASP pulley and going with a Bauer Ported TB. I'm pretty sure you should break 370 with tunning and a pulley! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
