Question about a Comp Cam
I need to know a little about this cam: Comp Cams 114 224/224 568/568.
Is this a good cam for a daily driven car?
I currently have this cam in my car, and am impressed with it, but need to know a little more about it. I have stage 2 ls1 heads, ls6 intake, 1.75 magnum roller rockers, and stud girdles.
What is the expected powerband on this cam?
Any information is greatly appreciated.

Need more detail. As in valve events, duration at various lifts, etc. Those specs are simular to the famous Thunderracing "224" and if thats the case
a search with "224 cam" should net you a days worth of reading.

As for the daily driving, it is perfect. Just curious about the long term of things being daily driven with this set up.
Oh, and I have one of your strut tower braces that he gave me as well.

Thats a comp XE, good choice of cam there perfect for a daily driver.
My XE220 has a 113 LSA and peaks at 6,000rpm so I'd say yours would peak anywhere from 6,200-6,400 with a 114 LSA. Does it really start picking up at around 3,000rpm and by 4,000rpm it feels like it wants to fly?

The power feels like it doesn't want to stop when I shift around 5,500. Paul

I think that is a custom Comp grind. Comp has a grind XR275HR 222/224 .566/.568 ona 112 lsa that has an RPM range supposedly up to 6800. XE, not XER lobe. It's probably comparable to the TR 224/224 .563/.563 114 lsa although I'm not sure if the ramp is quite as aggressive.
