tea heads on a zo6?
i recently purchased some s1.5 tea 5.3 heads. and a tr 224/224 563/563 112 lsa cam. these were supposed to go on my 02 camaro ss. but now w/ the great deals on the 03 zo6 i may trade my ss in. would these heads still work great w/ the ls6 motor? also would this cam work as well? also would you reccomend me getting anything else along w/ these? thanks

Re: tea heads on a zo6?
you could use the TEA heads on your Z06 while your LS6 heads are out getting a Stage2 porting, then reinstall the LS6 heads and sell the TEA heads to somebody with a non-Z06 vette or fbody. less downtime, no core purchase needed to lessen the downtime...

If you're not in a hurry you could wait and see how mine turn out @ Cylinder Head Specialties . Also Futral Motorsports has had some good success with LS6 heads, I hear they've gotten 326 REAL cfm out w/their porting. That should make some excellent power.
Keep the LS6 heads ans sell the TEA's to an F-body person.

Re: tea heads on a zo6?
GTP has the best numbers to the best of my understanding. But, they also have about the highest price.
Here is a spreadsheet with ported LS6 heads. I have new numbers that I need to add from some folks, but have not done so yet. Most numbers I need to add are for LS1 heads. So, this should be fairly accurate. ARE looks like they have a new port designt that makes good numbers also. Most heads seem to be right around the same numbers very few are way ahead of one another. One thing I would like to point out is that LPE charges $1595 for the stage I's. This is a CNC job and you can cartridge roll the CNC marks out and pick up about 7CFM. They charge $600 for that, but I would look a the best (and cheapest) CNC job I could find and then finish polishing them myself....
