Default Is it worth going solid roller with a cam this small?

thinking about picking this up. price is right for sure. but I'm not sure if thre's much advantage to a solid roller this smaller.

Cam Motion Custom Solid Roller cam
236/242 .610" / .615" lift (lift given with 1.7 ratio rockers) on a 112lsa

Price not withstanding, and with me fully aware of the maintenance required of a solid roller, do you think this cam in a solid roller lobe will make much more power over a hydraulic of similar specs?

What kind of numbers do you think it would put down with decent stage 2 heads, ls6 intake, long tube headers, etc?

Looks pretty small. Unless your putting in a big stick it is not worth the expense of going solid roller. Just my .02.

Cool

Don't fear the solid rollers. I've done plenty of tight lash SR's for street cars with zero problems. Just be sure to use a set of Morel lifters and the corect valve springs and it'll be fine.

A solid roller set-up won't necessarily make any additional power over a hydraulic roller set-up...Where the advantage really lies, is in the lighter overall valvetrain weight and the ability to rev higher...That said, in order to take advantage of the ability to rev the valvetrain higher...You will also need to upgrade the bottom end internals to live up to those rpm capabilities...

Peace...Gman
