I did their package. Best pull through stock gears was 421-427whp with the mods listed in my sig. I put the gears in and now I'm at 411whp. Not bad, but lack of tq kinda sucks.

Remember 355rwhp is about 410 at the flywheel.

Yeah, I agree with ya but they are very vauge in the advertisement. When I called, they told me that I'd need to run the regular bolt-on's to achieve that number and that their test car had put down 425-435whp IIRC on an F-body without cats.

I'm pretty happy with 411-419(depending on where I dyno) through cats and gears. I just wish the damn car wasn't so heavy.

Do yourself a huge favor and do some research on here. Many of the sponsors (including us) offer much better packages producing more power.

Give me a call if I can help you.

Mikey's right, and you need to consider your whole set up and your plans. Work with an outfit like Mikey's to put a solution together, they're glad to help and they know their stuff.

Hi. I don't know what your total combo is other than what your sig says. I do know the GTO is a heavier platform than my C5. But my drivetrain is less efficient . What I am getting to here is who did your tuning? I am very surprised you aren't in the low 12's or high 11's! My C5 ran a 12.89@ 110 and the original sparkplugs still in it (30,000 miles), through the stock exhaust manifolds. Only mod to motor was an LS6 intake and a Blackwing air filter. And this was with a stock A4 and runcraps. It did have an LS1 Edit tune by Howell Engine developments. This really brought my car to life, which is why I am asking about the tune. I am aslo curious what the ambient temperature in Florida was when you made these runs, as I did have a nice cool 55 degrees to run in, which for power would be a big advantage over, say, 90-95 degrees or more . Good luck with your car. And JRP and others here have excellent info and tech help .

Wow!! That's a shame. Just by the cam specs alone, you wouldn't think it would be a bad performer at all. I was actually thinking about this cam at on time for my ride. I wonder if the heads are bad or something. It seems like stage III LS6 heads and that cam should make what SLP says, at least close. But like JRP has said (alot) different "stages' from different manufacturers mean little. Still, with that cam AND Stock LS6 heads, it should be at least 440 at the crank or so. He should definitely complain to them-LOUD!

Thanks Grinder11 for the post.

I don't think slowhawk was referring to me about it costing $6500 bucks. However, the last pass I made at the track is in the sig. The conditions in the run were pretty typical for florida. 69*-73* temps with humidity in the 85-90% range. The raceweight on my goat is 3910. I'm a solid 200, with the vehicle weighing in at 3710 after removing the spare tire and assoc. equipment.

There was alot of KR on that run as well as the car was running very lean in the 13.6-13.9 range throughout the rpm range. the car was also running JBA shorty headers as well on this run.

I've since gotten the car tuned properly, installed longtubes, and put in 3.91 gears. After putting the gears in the drivetrain didn't like it at all twisting a half shaft and twisting the driveshaft as well causing it to bind. I've got all the new drivetrain equipment in from BMR except for the halfshafts. The car has sat for 2-3 weeks now but they should be in sometime next week. I'm excited to try and make it back out to the track and see how she does. I'll keep you guys in formed.

Glad you are getting it sorted out. That humidity didn't help you at all, thats for sure. It is amazing that the GTO is approaching 4,000lbs. It doesn't look that big/heavy, or whatever. I once read where every hundred lbs. is a tenth of a second, so if you dropped to my weight, it would be another 1/2 second, at least. I am envious of you guys in the "banana belt" !! You get to run all winter and tune, too!! I have the 'vette parked for winter, though I am contemplating taking it out when we get a good rain to rinse the salt off the roads. Then I can put on my snowmobile suit, drop the top, and freak out a few little old ladies!!! Oh well, we gotta do something for excitement around here. It's a long time 'til spring!!

LOL, I hear ya. The raceweight on BMR's A4 with nitrous bottles/rollcage/SFC's,etc is 4120. They are running 10.20's @130mph on a 300shot and an ironblock 408. It is a pleasure to drive on the street. It's pretty quiet in the cabin and very comfortable.

I feel the car will trap 115-117mph now. I'm excited to make some winter passes. As soon as I get some new results I'll post em. The times are definately not indicative of how the car is currently running.
