Looking for a very aggressive cam for my 408ci. I am talkin window shaker
I probably want to keep the lift sub .600 so I dont have to change springs every other day. Point me in the right direction . . .

Cam: Futral / Cam Motion 263/267 .646/.646 110LSA solid roller
Daily driver? No, but it idles fine at 950.
4.56 gears out back help the chuggle at lower speeds, but it needs a lot of tuning work to get smoother (which I haven't had time to do yet).

Cam: T-Rex
Cubes: 383
Heads: AFR 205's
Drivability/Opinions on cam selection: It hits hard even at 1200rpm, still awaiting new driveshaft and manual steering rack installation before driving, tuning, and dynoing.

11:1 compression
daily driver
244/250 .634/.625 112lsa
I already have my new 408 shortblock and I am going to stick with the same cam for better driveability.
If you want somethig that will shake your car, consider going to something around 250 duration and maybe on a 110lsa.

ARE 422
10.7:1 CR
242/242-112 620ish lift, not sure of the advance want to go to a 250/256-112+4 lift about the same as this cam.
515 rwhp 501 rwtq through a very heavy drivetrain!
I feel the cam is too small as it peaks at 6000 rpm, car weighs 3500 with me in it and traps 128-130 on motor pretty consistantly.

I got a T-REX in my 432, unbelivable power. made 509RWH on a mustang dyno, hope to get it on a Dynojet soon. Drives ok but idles like ****, might be the williams 90mm TB. I have a Exedey twin disc so with the idle isuses its a thrill leaving from a stop.Should be 565+RWTQ on a dynojet. Can't remember the exact number but it was over 500rwtq @ 2900rpm on the mustang dyno. Get a T-REX you will be very happy. I have PP LS6 STAGE III heads on the car now and some 225's on order. The PP's work so good I think I will keep them on the car for now. Use the 225's for another project.
